I hope you and your family all had a safe and happy Christmas and are looking forward to everything that the new year has in store.
The summer holidays have been a hive of activity. The courts have been full of families playing together, kids and adults having lessons and people enjoying the game for the very first time with friends. The Australian Open being on television has also proved to be a sense of inspiration and entertainment for all of us. From the casual observer to the young player aspiring to one day be on the big stage has kept us all glued to the television.
Our young players just starting out on their tennis journey have had some fun filled weeks at our holiday camps. They got to experience an introduction to the game in a fun filled, safe and friendly environment which has helped provide them with a thirst for more. Whilst our more experienced players got some solid training and match practice in with our various advanced camps across the different sites.
The holiday period also provided an opportunity for our more experienced players to participate in tournament play. Many of our players travelled far and wide to compete in various tournaments from entry level to national ranking tournaments with all players achieving excellent results and gaining invaluable experience.
Our coaches have also been working hard during the summer period. Many of our coaches have been involved with tennis camps, elite level training camps, overseas based training camps as well as attending the numerous tournaments to provide support and encouragement to their students. Several our coaches have also attended the Australian Open, numerous coach development courses and have undoubtedly come back inspired to pass on their knowledge to their students.
Our regular Hotshots classes, squads, adult groups, and private lessons have all resumed and are now in full swing. If you haven’t already secured your place, you can do so by booking online or by giving our friendly pro shop staff a call and they will happily steer you in the right direction.
We are working to deliver something there for everyone: from the recreational player through to the player trying to make it to the Australian Open one day! More importantly, tennis is a game that can be played at all ages, all levels of fitness and experience, with friends, family and for life.
